Pengumuman: Barcelona ke Liga Europa!

Bola.net - Barcelona masih belum berjodoh dengan Liga Champions. Empat tahun terakhir berjalan sulit, kini bahkan Barca harus terlempar ke Liga Europa.

Kamis (9/12/2021), Barcelona tak berkutik dalam duel tandang ke markas Bayern Munchen, matchday 6 Grup E Liga Champions 2021/22. Barca butuh kemenangan untuk memastikan langkah ke babak 16 besar.

Sayangnya, pasukan Xavi harus menyerah dengan skor telak 0-3. Perbedaan level kedua tim terlihat jelas, Bayern terlalu kuat untuk Barca yang sekarang.

Kekalahan ini sekaligus mengirim Barca ke Liga Europa karena hanya mampu finis di peringkat ketiga Grup E. Di partai lain, Benfica mengalahkan Dynamo Kiev (2-0) untuk naik ke peringkat dua.

Barca dan Liga Europa

Merosot ke Liga Europa tentu jadi catatan negatif bagi Barca. Klub Catalan itu mengalami kemunduran besar beberapa tahun terakhir, kini Barca mungkin mencapai dasarnya.

Tercatat Barca terakhir kali bermain di kasta kedua kompetisi Eropa pada musim 2003/04 silam. Setelah itu mereka terus bermain di Liga Champions, hingga akhirnya kini kembali merosot.

Kegagalan ini juga menunjukkan betapa besarnya beban yang harus dipikul Xavi untuk memperbaiki tim Barca. Kesalahan-kesalahan pelatih sebelumnya telah membuat tim terus merosot.
